• WARNING: Ensure the inside of the Pressure King Pro 5L and the inner pot are clean and free from any food debris before starting and NEVER place food or liquid directly into the Pressure King Pro 5L. Always use the inner pot to cook food in. The liquid and ingredients should be between the MAX and MIN marks on the inside of the inner pot.

    Always check the User Manual for guidance on the safe use of your Pressure King Pro before you do any cooking.

    Remember that you will be working with hot liquids and steam, so always ensure that all the safety requirements are fully in place before you start any cooking and please exercise care and caution as you follow the Steps in this guide.

    Always wear oven gloves and an apron to protect against any splashing of hot food and steam.

  • 1.

    Twist the top handle clockwise and remove the lid.

  • 2.

    Remove the inner pot.

  • 3.

    Fill with the ingredients required for the recipe.

    CAUTION: With cooking ingredients that expand during cooking, we recommend that you only fill the inner pot halfway between the MAX and MIN marks. When using as a pressure cooker, always use liquid in the inner pot. The liquid should always come up to the MIN mark.

  • 4.

    Replace the inner pot.

  • 5.

    Replace the lid (align the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the left handle of the Pressure King Pro 5L), and lock by turning anti-clockwise.

  • 6. Insert the power cord and connect to mains power.
  • 7.

    Turn the pressure release valve to the closed position.

    Note: Some models may feature an updated pressure release valve.
  • 8.

    Select the cooking program you want (e.g., Stew).

  • 9. The digits on the display will show the selected pre-programmed time.
  • 10. Then the digits on the display will show On.
  • 11. The digits on the display will spin until the Pressure King Pro 5L is at the correct temperature and pressure.
  • 12.

    The float valve will rise.

  • 13.

    The timer will begin.

  • 14.

    When the timer has finished, your Pressure King Pro 5L will sound a ‘BEEP’ and End will be shown on the display.

    Your Pressure King Pro 5L will now start the KEEP WARM function, this will run for a maximum of 24 hours.

  • 15.

    Press the Cancel button to cancel the KEEP WARM function.

    CAUTION: Before attempting to open the Pressure King Pro 5L lid you will need to release the steam. For more information, see the topics “Quick and Slow Pressure release in the Basic Usage section.

  • 16.

    Use oven gloves and a pair of tongs to turn the pressure release valve to the open position.

    Allow your Pressure King Pro 5L to cool choosing the Quick or Slow release method (see Basic Usage).
    Note: Some models may feature an updated pressure release valve.
  • 17.

    After steam has stopped coming out of the pressure release valve, check that the float valve has dropped.

  • 18.

    Twist the top handle clockwise and remove the lid.

  • 19.

    Remove the inner pot using oven gloves or a heat proof cloth. We also recommend wearing an apron.

    After using your Pressure King Pro 5L please clean it by following steps in the Care and Maintenance section.
