How to quickly release the steam
- IMPORTANT: This method of releasing the pressure is recommended for recipes which cook quickly and for steaming, including items such as vegetables and seafood

Remember that you will be working with hot liquids and steam, so always ensure that all the safety requirements are fully in place before you start any cooking and please exercise care and caution as you follow the Steps in this guide.
Always wear oven gloves and an apron to protect against any splashing of hot food and steam.

- 1. Press the KEEP WARM/CANCEL button to stop the Keep Warm function.
Use oven gloves and a pair of tongs to turn the pressure release valve to the open position.
After steam has stopped coming out of the pressure release valve, check that the float valve has dropped.
Hold the Pressure King Pro 6L by the base unit handles and give a few gentle shakes to release any residual steam.
Twist the top handle clockwise and remove the lid.
If the lid does not open, wait a few more minutes and try again. NEVER try to force the lid off as a locked lid is a sign that the unit still has some pressure.
